Information and Communication Technology agency (ICTA) and the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) jointly invite you to participate in the Twitter Contest organized in line with the National Conference to be held on 15th March 2017 at Nelum Pokuna Auditorium with the participation of all stakeholders representing in the digital industry in Sri Lanka.
The objective of this contest is to raise awareness on “Consumer Rights in Digital Age”. These tweets will be used for the campaign on “A DIGITAL SRI LANKA CONSUMERS CAN TRUST”.
Submission : 15 February 2017 – March 8 2017

Creative Tweet Slogan – (Text Version)
All contestants are encouraged to come up with a creative slogan that should be in line with main objective of the contest.
The creative slogan should fit in a single tweet (i.e less than 140 characters) along with the event hashtag.
The slogan should give a positive message on Consumer Rights and be tweeted in English.

Creative tweet content (non text) – Creative Posters/ Memes
All contestants are encouraged to create a meme/poster that should reflect a theme and be in line with main objective of the contest.
Content should be tweeted (attached to the tweet) along with a description (optional) and the event hashtag.
In order to develop the theme for the content, contestants should use any of the existing Consumer Rights (one or more) that can be found on the handbook available at the Consumer Affairs Authority website (http://www.caa.gov.lk/) - (i.e pick a consumer right from the handbook -> Develop a theme -> Create a meme on the theme)
The content provide a positive/encouraging message about Consumer Rights.

Best localized hashtag
All contestants are encouraged to create a hashtag that should be in line with the main objective of the contest.
Entries can use words from local languages or combination.

All winning results will be screened at the National Conference @ Nelum Pokuna
All content should be posted on twitter from the contestant's personal account, during the competition period.
All entries should be tweeted with the competition hashtag #WCRDsl.
All standard tweet restrictions will be applicable (Character limit, hashtag rules, image resolution etc.)
All entries will be tracked based on the competition hashtag only - and need to be traceable publicly. (cannot be tweeted using private account)
For the memes and poster competition Contestants should pick the theme from the consumer rights handbook (Consumer Rights) available in the CAA website.
Contestants must be residents of Sri Lanka.
The entry should be an original work of the submitter and cannot have been previously submitted in a promotion/contest or have been exhibited or displayed through any means.
More than one entry per contestant is allowed. Each entry should be tweeted separately.
First, Second and Third place entries become the property of the Consumer Affairs Authority
By entering this contest all contestants grant the consumer Affairs Authority permission to edit, modify, copy, reproduce, publish and use the entries for awareness purpose without notice or approval.
The entry cannot contain material that violates another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright or license infringement.
Format: Contestants should be able to provide high resolution images of the entries when required.
Min to appear expanded 440 X 220 pixels
Max to appear expanded 1024 X 512 pixels
Appears in stream collapsed at 506 X 253 pixels
Max file size of 5MB for photos and 3MB for animated GIFs
No commercial brands to be endorse or negatively portrayed.
The contestants are required to follow CAA official account on Twitter, and if required, will need to verify their identity to judges. (i.e winners should provide real name etc)
The judges’ decisions will be deemed final.
