Special raids were conducted by Officers of Consumer Affairs Authority in Mullaitivu District on 26.03.2020. Most of the wholesale shops, Sathosa outlet, Foodcity were visited and given instructions in order to confirm the availability of the essential goods in their stocks for the public at the controlled price set by the government.

"A Digital Sri Lanka Consumers Can Trust Ensure Effective Competition in an Increasing online world"
December 5th is the world competition day. The theme of this year is “Ensure Effective Competition in an Increasing online world”. Consumer Affairs Authority seeks to align with the international theme this year on protecting the rights of consumers who purchase goods online.
Consumer Affairs Authority participated in the Exhibition at D S Senanyake Central College, Mirigama from 13th February to 16th February 2020. We were able to educate many visitors on Consumer Rights and Responsibilities and showcase the services rendered by the Authority.
