අයහපත් කාලගුණය හේතුවෙන් අවතැන්වූවන් සදහා සහන දීමට පාරිභෝගික අධිකාරිය මැදිහත් වෙයි.
දිවයින තුල මේ වන විට උද්ගතව ඇති ආපදා තත්වය පිළිබදව සලකා බැලූ පාරිභෝගික කටයුතු පිළිබද අධිකාරියේ වත්මන් සභාපති හසිත තිලකරත්න මහතා අවතැන්වූ ජනතාව වෙනුවෙන් සහන ලබා දීමේ විශේෂ වැඩ පිළිවෙලක් ගරු කර්මාන්ත හා වාණිජ කටයුතු අමාත්‍ය රිෂාඩ් බදියුදීන් අමාත්‍යවරයාගේ උපදෙස් පරිදි දියත් කර ඇත.මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් දිවයිනේ සුපිරි වෙළදසැල් ජාලයේ කලමනාකාරිත්වය සමග 2016 මැයි මස 19 වන දින විශේෂ සාකච්ඡාවක් පවත්වන ලද මෙම වැඩ පිළිවෙල සදහා අදාල සමාගම් සිය එකගකාවය පල කර ඇත.
එසේම පාරිභෝගික අධිකාරියෙහි නිළධාරින්ගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් මැයි මස 20 වන දින ගම්පහ මාකේවිට ප්‍රදේශයේ ගංවතුරින් අවතැන්වු දහසකට ආහාර බෙදා දීමක් ඊයේ එනම් 24 වන අගහරාවාදා ගරු කර්මාන්ත හා වාණිජ කටයුතු අමාත්‍ය රිෂාඩ් බදියුදීන් මැතිතුමාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පාරිභෝගික අධිකාරියේ සුබසාධක සංගමයේ මෙහෙයවීමෙන් ප්‍රධාන කාර්යාලයේ නිළධාරින් සියලු දෙනාගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් කොටිකාවත්ත ප්‍රෙද්ශයෙහි පවුල් 800කට දිවා ආහාර ,වියලි ආහාර සහ සනීපාරක්ෂක ද්‍රව්‍යන් සපයන ලදි.
සභාපති හසිත තිලකරත්න මහතාගේ මගපෙන්වීම යටතේ පාරිභෝගික අධිකාරියේ සුබසාධක සංගමයේ මෙහෙයවීමෙන් එහි සේවක මණ්ඩලයේ සියලු දෙනා සිය දිනක වැටුප මෙම සද්කාර්්‍යය සදහා පරිත්‍යාග කර ඇති බවද වැඩිදුරටත් දන්වා සිටිමු.
Trilingual Terms and Conditions Mandatory for Guarantee Cards

The Consumer Affairs Authority has made it mandatory to include the terms and conditions in guarantee cards in all three languages for consumer durables from 1st January 2017. This regulation will be implemented under the Extraordinary Gazette Notice 1966/43.
Chairman of the Consumer Affairs Authority Hasitha Tillekeratne says the public constantly brings to their attention several issues regarding consumer durables. He said this is largely due to the guarantee cards carrying terms and conditions only in English. “After having drawn the attention of the Minister of Industry and Commerce Hon. Rishard Bathiudeen to this matter, he authorized me to implement the regulation,” he added.
Mr. Tillekeratne said that this can be considered yet another step towards strengthening the consumer’s right to information. He requested the media to create greater public awareness on the new regulation by publicizing it widely.
